I realize Tom Waits is huge among these parts, and I admit I'm a beginner. And I swear I don't mean any disrespect, and I truly hope I have to choke on my words someday...honest...

But pelase tell me it gets better than Bruce Springsteen without his band at a speed 1/14 too slow.

The female praying mantis devours the male while they are mating.

The male sometimes continues copulating even after the female has bitten off his head - and part of his upper torso.

Every night, wasps bite into the stem of a plant, lock their mandibles into position, stretch out at right angles to the stem, and, with legs dangling, they fall asleep.

If one places a minute amount of liquor on a scorpion it will instantly go mad, and sting itself to death.

Pay close attention, Diane

This particular performance of this particular song is probably mine. I've maintained that stance for about ten years now, and listening again, I see no flaw in my personal judgment.

I just played this for my nephew. He loved it.

Devil's Rejects is where I first heard him too. All three of his songs on that soundtrack are fantastic.

Not that those Pavement, Bjork and Fugazi tracks aren't great, but that list goes far in shattering several '2black illusions I have. :?

Every track in that list is great.

I sort of assumed that he'd have a definite song, not a list. And this song would be something I'd never heard, and I would subsequently have spent the next year expanding my collection based on that song and it's influences.

Reids clandestine departures from RM and subsequent returns are nothing short of curious

You think/thought way too much of me.
It's a chronological list (early days, teens, 20s and 30s) and most of the songs and bands represent a "jumping off point" of some sort.
