well look at the reactions from some of the few who have said anything; people go to these concerts expecting hits. When I saw them this past summer, they actually played after the Counting Crows because of it being Buffalo. Robbie got to sing some songs too; Smash and January Friend come to mind. The goos need touring to survive as a band and they don't want to alienate the screaming girls and soccer moms that are their bread and butter. Who knows, if I get a chance to talk to Robby before their July show in Buffalo I may try and ask him if they could throw in some SSCW to their set.

Yeah this is true. they are like the ultimate "singles" or "hits" band. its hard to find someone who doesnt know name, iris and slide, but most people never really dug deeper.

when they came in '02 though, they played a great show with a lot more variety. even a song off jed. i gotta find the setlist for it, it was really great. like 28 songs, so there were a lot of older songs, and at the very least, a lot of the really good album songs that weren't hits like hate this place or all eyes on me. do you know if this tour with lifehouse is co-headlining again, or if its a goo show w/ lifehouse opening?

Lifehouse is a support act, im sure of it, with good reason too. I guess a co-headline with teh counting crows made sense, but to me I never really heard the counting crows until a few years ago, so i was kind of against it. I'm just glad that the Goos closed for my show.

I decided to download Dizzy Up the Girl since the singles from it aren't too bad.

thats a pretty strong ggd mix. it seems like you should be able to fit another song or two. i'd definetly add acoustic #3, bullet proof, and/or hate this place and all eyes on me. basically the other john songs from dizzy up the girl. their each just almost as good as the hits from the album.

yeah if you like the singles you'll probably like the album. there isnt really much of a change with johnny's songs. itll be interesting what you think of robby's songs though.

vote for the song you want to hear one the summer tour. I'd rather just tell Robby personally, though.

Saw these guys last night. They put on a pretty good concert. Instead of being a cookie-cutter concert of all hits, they actually played songs from their older albums as well. Slave Girl, cuz you're gone/1000 words, Lucky Star... just to name a few
