Hello everyone!! We hope you're staying warm through the winter! Actually, it's 58 degrees in New York City today which is both wonderful and unnerving at the same time!

Meanwhile, we have lots of news to announce! Firstly, we have scheduled a short US / Canadian tour in late May. We'll be trying out new songs (!) and playing some old ones too of course! The shows are listed below with on-sale dates. You can find links to buy tickets here: http://www.americanmary.com/shows

21 May: Kool Haus, Toronto (on-sale Feb 14th @ 10:00 AM)
22 May: Metropolis, Montreal (on-sale Feb 13th @ Noon)
23 May: House of Blues, Boston (on-sale Feb 20th @ 10AM)
24 May: 9:30 Club, DC (on-sale Feb 14th @ 10AM)
25 May: 9:30 Club, DC (on-sale Feb 14th @ 10AM)
27 May: Variety Playhouse, Atlanta (on-sale Feb 13th @ NOON)
28 May: Lincoln Theater, Raleigh (on-sale Feb 13th @ Noon)
29 May: Electric Factory, Philadelphia (on-sale Feb 20th @ 10AM)

Excellent.

I'll definitely be there. Never been inside before. Saturday night also. w00t!

Bought tickets this morning at the box office. No Ticketmaster surcharges there...it felt good.

The "Cherry Tree" EP has a couple of really good songs on it, especially "About Today." Their self-titled album is good but only has a few standouts.

Alligator and Boxer are amazing. The rest of their albums are simply good.

The last 3 songs on "Sad Songs" are pretty fucking depressing, huh?

"I fell in love with you no matter what you say / but you were right about the reasons"

"You clean yourself to meet / the man who isn't me"

I hope they start playing some of these live again at some point.

funny, i was going to post this next:

I wanna hurry home to you
put on a slow, dumb show for you
and crack you up
so you can put a blue ribbon on my brain
god I'm very, very frightening
I'll overdo it
