Didn't know if anyone else was into this band. I've been listening to "Who Will Survive And What Will Be Left Of Them?" since christmas. They remind me of Neutral Milk Hotel a bit. Dark lyrics and very melodic. A good suggestion for people who just want to listen to something a bit different. Also, don't get fooled by them being associated with "EMO" bands and shit like that. They sound nothing like that. Also good if you like cello.

I don't think they are anything like NMH. Theyre a very misclassified band (I've seen them under "metal" or "Doom" or whatever which is pretty much plain bullshit. Great band, seen them live, met the guys, talked about Minus The Bear a bit, and totally love them. "End Of The Line" is pretty much their best song ever.

They're not on the Archives.

They're on the first page of kerrazy. They're compare to Katatonia so I guess I got my genres mixed up a little bit there.

yeah, they're not bad at all, and certainly not emo...or doom metal or something like that.

Hmm, I really didn't have much to contribute did I?

I like the album title. I streamed a couple of songs and wasn't feeling it, but it's really tough to go by those awful streams. Is it anything like Rasputina? Great band name as well.

I have two albums, and think they are great. I've been listening for a little more than a year now. Also, was lucky to see them with Clutch. They have a lot of different influences it sounds like. They are kind of rockabilly to me yet sound like some indie bands too.

their first album is totally different, very eerie, post-rockish at times, and very good too
I assume that when they toured with Clutch they were more into the rocking sound

I still need to listen to Who Will Survive but the 3 others are good

the way I found out about them is totally random btw

when I asked for recommendations a few weeks ago, mirella told me to check out her downloads at What.cd
so I went and looked at the 2008 releases only, and looked for bands I had never heard of before, which led me to download Red of Tooth and Claw and Antidotes by the band Foals, and both were really good surprises

Nice random discovery. :nice:

Yeah, the cool thing about this band is they manage to sound different from album to album.

I'm going to see these guys this weekend. I can't wait. I've been screwed out of seeing them the last two times they came around
