Im trying to make a cd for someone and I was wondering if you all could give me some suggestions on Original or Covers of Christmas songs by rock bands. For instance everything from Let me Sleep and Dont believe in Christmas by Pearl Jam, I wont be home for Christmas by Blink 182, Blue Christmas by Bright Eyes, it doesnt matter, it can even be by an older band, just hoping you all could help me out. Thanks.

I'm starting to collect ideas about a Xmas rock compilation that I could offer to some friends...
how many titles could you come up with?
the ones I'd thought of:

Someday At Christmas - PJ
Merry Christmas (I Don't Wanna Fight Tonight) - Ramones
Christmas (Baby please come home) - Joey Ramone
the Vandals' album "Oi To The World!"
Christmas - The Who

Johnny Cash's Christmas album
Ring Them Bells - Layne Staley with Nancy & Ann Wilson
Christmas At The Zoo - Flaming Lips
Christmas Card From A Hooker In Minneapolis - Tom Waits

John Lennon - Happy X-Mas(War is Over)
The Pretenders - 2000 Miles
Bing Crosby & David Bowie - Little Drummer Boy (not quite rock, but a great song non the less)
I hope these help, all great songs
there's a couple bad religion christmas carols floating around out there if you're persistent, though their intent is more mockery than anything.

thank guys! mockery is fine, everything concerning Xmas fits in...Vandals were highly mockery as well...
yeah, the sonics cover is another idea...and I'll look for bowie & crosbie, and weezer...maybe Spina Tap is al ittle bit over the top for Xmas
they don't have to be hard rock songs, when I use the word rock I just mean "No Fuckin' Mariah Carey"
...and "Not darn Darkness crap"...
