finally got around to grabbing some dino jr and i went with this upon the recommendation of people on the internet.
awesome stuff. ripping guitars. the vocals aren't superb but they're comfortable, i think.
two thumbs up.

On The Way is some of the best guitar work I've ever heard.
This whole album is one of those that is so tied up in memories of a time and place for me that I have difficulty listening to it anymore, but it's really just abut perfect.

I listened to this album non-stop during my junior year of high school. I fucking loved it. I'll always think of a girl named Liz whenever I hear this album. The two are inextricably linked.

You said it. I know the Lou Barlow-era stuff has more indie-cred, but Where You Been and Green Mind were such a big part of my life at that time that I can't judge them objectively.

The opening guitar on Out there.....
oh so good makes me drool with happiness.
Do you suffer from mental retardation?
sometimes
When I read your post, the first image that came to mind was a drooling retarded kid getting excited for a birthday gift or something. I just never linked drooling with happiness.

I thought Beyond was just average, would I like this one more ?
This is the most accessible Dinosaur Jr album, I think. It had their biggest radio hits, and there's really not a bad song on there. It's not as indie-punk as the earlier albums, but it might be J's finest work.
