I'd have to look at everything I own that was released this year, but the two albums that come immediately to mind are "Bloom" and "Floratone II" (one of the best projects any member of Pearl Jam has ever been involved with).
Hey, I'm really liking the sound of the latter. Listening to the samples on Bill's website now. Thanks for the recommendation.

I liked this quite a lot.
It's great!
If this is your first exposure to Bill Frisell, I recommend you check out "History, Mystery".

I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Celebration Rock" by Japandroids. I'm not sure it's my favorite of the year but it would definitely make my list.
Damn can't believe I forgot this one. Absolutely one of my favorites this year and I am dying to see them live. I just picked Celebration Rock up on vinyl today.
How do you guys feel about Beach House's pre-"Teen Dream" stuff?
I haven't heard the self-titled, but I never really got into Devotion. A few great tracks, but the album as a whole didn't do a lot for me on my few good listens.
