On the flip side - It also makes me respect how much effort they put into their comedy, the routine, the rhythm and the execution. Not unlike a musical performer.
I'm the kind of person who laughs at jokes he's heard before if they're good enough. Plus, like some others have said, there's much more to stand up than just the jokes: the timing, the rhythm, dealing with hecklers, the delivery. I still listen to Bill Hicks routines all the time even though I know them by heart. Flying Saucer Tour is probably my favourite because of the way he interacts with what is supposedly an unusually unreceptive audience. He's brilliant on that one.

Actually, I can argue with that.
Reasons other than still finding the same jokes funny that re-watching The Simpsons is rewarding:
1. Nostalgia 2. Brilliant Animation 3. With more life experience and education, new jokes emerge. 4. The songs. 5. I really miss Phil Hartman 6. Lenny 7. Focusing solely on what's going on in the background this time around, especially when a scene involves the pets. 8. You get the point.
