Only been listening to his music for a few weeks (his album was on some end of the year lists) and it is excellent! Its very weird, low-fi, traditional folk music - celtic/spanish/blues influences - and his voice sounds strange at first but the album I have, "Rejoice" is a very diverse collection of styles and songs. Pretty much all acoustic with some piano or strings here and there. His style, for me, sort of brings back the mystique that folksingers had before the advent of radio, records, etc. One of my favorite new artists for sure.

DB is certainly a unique voice in the world of contemporary music. I have Rejoice and it's pretty good. I haven't picked up the new one yet but probably will soon.

I absolutely adore Rejoice, I've been listening to it everyday for the past 2 weeks. He's a great acoustic guitar player as well
