Just came across this post, and thought I'd share what I know...
Most of the upcoming album has been recorded, but from what I've heard, there's a lot of mixing and production work as well as finishing touches to go. With a heavy spring touring schedule, the album probably won't be released in Canada until Fall.
Kevin Drew was at the Stars show in Montreal last night, taking a break from the record-making process and providing some backup vocals on Ageless Beauty and played tambourine during the encore. Looked like everyone involved in the Broken Social Scene/Arts & Crafts record family was having a great time at an absolutely fantastic show!

The new Flaming Lips cd has been pushed back to May 10 or 17, right? I can't remember what the woman said when I was looking for it.
It's not a Flaming Lips CD sort of, kind of, like. It's a compilation of songs by different bands that the lips put together. The Flaming LIps have one song on the album and it's a cover of Seven Nation Army. Their *official* new album won't be out until maybe the end of the year maybe next year.

Oops, my mistake. I thought they were covering all of the songs. I need to pay attention.
Thanks.

about "the boxer rebellion" debut, "exits"
2005 Debut Album from the Band Found by Alan Mcgee (Of Creation Records/Oasis Fame) for his Poptones Label. Nme Describes them as a "Pathological Noise-rush Warfare Not Heard Since the Old School Mentalism of Richard Ashcroft". The Boxer Rebellion Exist Somewhere Between the Battleground-indie of Mogwai and Interpol and the Beautiful Restraint of Elbow. They have the Ability Both to Float Melodically and Belt You Mercilessly with Venomous Bass-lines and Torturous Riffs.

i like it, but thats me......they sound a little bit like "the cooper temple clause", but the vocalist of TBR has a better voice, more beautiful on the mellow tunes

I went to a certain website to look for the boxer rebellion and found it. Under comments however this was posted:
The copyright of these recordings is owned by Universal Music Limited. I would advise you to remove these tracks as soon as possible. This matter will now be dealt with by them.
