seriously, howcome theres not a thread for this band? is everybody just too blind to see how great this band is? The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Of Me is an EXTREMELY underrated album.. their new album(Daisy) isnt that far behind either.
of course they were originally a band that was apart of a ridiculous genre... but these guys have worked hard enough to prove they arent some novelty band. ive never heard one band progress from album to album as ive had than this band.

eh, they're an average band. I actually like songs from Your Favorite Weapon a little bit more, though the 2nd album is pretty listenable
that was actually the ridiculous period i was referring to. IMO, theyre a MUCH better band today. the second album is DEFINITELY better than the first.
a board i'm still on (a good music board), back in the day had a huge thread about brand new. the whoel thread was "whatever" > brand new. it was pretty goo stuff. went on for a hundred pages or so, for sure better than anything brand new has released.

Yes, The Devil and God is definitely a GREAT album. the guitarist recently said that that album was a really heavy record to write. it just seems like theyre getting better each disc.. i dont really even listen to Your Favorite Weapon that much anymore.
I dont know why everybody thinks the new album is awful though. songs like 'You Stole','Daisy' and 'Noro' are pretty amazing. i really like the solos they are writing now. the only thing i can see thats not fancying everyone is the aggressive songs('vices', 'sink', 'in a jar').

I know old topic, but does anyone Listen to Brand New. I still think "The Devil and God are Raging in Me" and the follow up "Daisy" are both excellent albums and away from the teenage rock they started out as.
