i think that the scorpions one fits more the power ballads

i prefer the soft ones, like Bee gees, air suplly, etc

The absolute nadir would have to be "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You" by Heart. It's so bad, I'm not even gonna post the video. You can just imagine it in your head.

As far as the songs posted in this thread, they're all power ballads. Somehow "power ballad" is associated with the hair metal scene but the term was coined when describing the ballads of Air Supply. Plaintive melodies building up to a crescendo of reverb-y, crashing drums and guitar.

I've never heard of that origin, and nobody thinks of Air Supply when they say power ballad.
