Give Up on Vinyl!

"Holy Moly, it's about time! Sub Pop Records is very, very proud to

announce the release of Give Up by the Postal Service on VINYL, out

November 9th! This release is a fancy colored, 180 gram vinyl two disc

number with Give Up on LP one and all the b-sides on LP two. It also

comes with a two sided poster with the ep art on either side and a

really cool booklet with lyrics and fancy pictures. You have to have

this!

Here is the Track Listing:

LP One, 'Give Up':

1. the district sleeps alone again tonight

2. such great heights

3. sleeping in

4. nothing better

5. recycled air

6. clark gable

7. we will become silhouettes

8. this place is a prison

9. brand new colony

10. natural anthem

LP Two, 'B Sides':

1. there's never enough time

2. we will become silhouettes (performed by the shins)

3. such great heights (performed by iron and wine)

4. suddenly everything has changed (flaming lips cover)

5. the district sleeps tonight (dj downfall persistent beat mix)

6. such great heights (john tejada remix)"

I also heard that The Postal Service is planning a small fall tour before heading back into the studio in the winter. I can't wait. This vinyl looks totally worth it, too.

I hope every teenager at my school doesn't have a record player, or I'll have to hear a resurgence of 934769456897689r56 emo kids humming "the district sleeps alone tonight" in English class. :?

I read it in an article that announced Give Up was the second best selling Sub Pop album of all time, selling like 300,000 copies. Behind only a Nirvana album or something. I'll try to dig it up.

Yeah, that was on the SubPop site. It said Give Up trails just behind Bleach.
