Ok, definatly not my usual type of music. Big Dylan, Clash, Sleater-Kinney fan ect. but not so much emo/whatever you'd classify them. Agree to go with my freind Matt and I really got into the CD. First thing is I'm not used to being the same age as everyone at the shows I go to, not many 16 year old Springsteen or PJ fans. So that sorta freaked me out. Also, not a big fan of pits and people hitting me, or so I thought... First 2 bands were ok, not much pit action going on. Silverstein (who I hadn't heard of until I got there) came on and a massive push to the front was unexpected and all I could think of was The Who in Ohio, luckily i was behind my freind who's 16 but under 5 feet, and got to protect her a little. Had to come out because I really wasn't enjoying it. As much as I hate to admit it, Senses Fail were very good live, energetic and the crowd was completely into them. Actually enjoyed being in the pit during them, got knocked down and everyone helped me out which was very cool. Got to meet them afterwards and they were pretty cool, shopped on South Street all night and had a great time. Lesson to self: expanding to experience new things can amount to an awesome day
the stuff that i have from senses fail has not been very good imo but it sounds like you had a great time! i go to these smaller shows all the time and they are great fun!
