I've never been particularly comfortable with technology, but I found that spending a few hours and actually working through the device's nuances really assuaged my fears. I understand I'm violating thread integrity here, but I really enjoy this reading/listening/entertainment instrument.
Coltrane & Ellington's "My Little Brown Book" sounds pretty good on it.

The first time I heard Exile was eight or nine years ago, when the classic rock station would play a classic album at midnight on weeknights. I remember thinking, "what's the big deal?" I wish that I had that experience to do over.

That's the way I felt when I started listening to the Stones as a freshman in college in preparation for a concert...all I had was 40 licks; then I delved into the BB-EoMS run. Songs on each of those album still blow my mind. The Stones, and those records in particular, are the absolute prime example of the cliche "sum is greater than its parts".
