"In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" is one of my top 10 albums, no doubt about it. I don't know why, but it consistently has the ability to make me happy, no matter how sour my mood is.

I fucking love Jeff Mangum, so my question is where the hell is he? I know he had a "mental breakdown" after the Aeroplane tour concluded, but it's been a good 7 years since then. Where is the man who has put a smile on my face many times, the man who hoped to make music with healing power and suceeded admirably? I feel like he needs a hug.

Can't find any recent news on him, except for the fact that he was spotted at a Marbles gig in Brooklyn this past March.

Someone hook up an address, phone number, something. :)

Although, from this article, it seems that he just wishes to be left alone. I wish he'd just put out something: a record, a website, a sign of life.

I love the lyrics to that song. I'm sure my brother hates it, since I play it for hours at a time.

The whole album is amazing. I'm currently digging Two Headed Boy Pt. 2.. so somber, yet so good.

I went to their website a while ago, and from what I can remember it said he was writing a book of short stories. And he was working with a circus or something :?

Damn it Jeff, fuck the elephants, make another album!

Yeah, that page hasn't been updated since the 90's or something. I'm surprised they've kept it up this long.

I think he's got serious emotional issues, and I tend to believe he really hated becoming a "celebrity."

Dude, his name is Jeff Mangum. I don't remember him starring in any shows with Tom Selleck, for chrissakes.

Well, that explains why my google searches yielded very little. Yay for pseudo-dyslexia. Magnum is a much cooler name, though.

It's certainly better than that hip hop rubbish you so frequently try to push on me, Al.

Jeff Mangum live was kind of a religious experience, for me.

He didn't pick up on your joke, however.
