Boy howdy, those walls.

They're absolutely dripping with coats and coats of thick, rust-colored shades of noise.

That is a sensational first decade worth of material.

The output from 1975 alone would've been great for most artists/bands in a decade.

It's even better when you add Time Fades Away (1973), an album that apparently doesn't exist anymore.

and I believe Neil recently stated that TIme Fades Away has been remastered and should be released at some point here.

My friend is going to shit himself! Unless he sent it in to them....

My buddy who pieced it all together is the one who tweeted to neil that he passed out during the show.....

Amazing

I'll be seeing Neil in a few weeks for the first time and was wondering why he hasn't mixed up the setlist much? I understand he wants to play the new stuff and that's awesome because I love the new record but I just thought that with the extensive catalog he'd mix up the setlists a little more.

I don't think excessive setlist mixing has ever really been Neil's thing, at least not to the degree that it is for some bands.

My excitement over Neil n' the Horse playing here shouldn't be taken as indication that my position on Psychedelic Pill is softening. I listened to bits of again yesterday and I'm still not sure, which isn't a great sign.

Americana is still floating my boat.

It was remastered a long time ago and released as a promo. I can't imagine that a "new" attempt at remastering the album would turn out any better. So it's "out there", but there's no artwork and you can't buy it.

Oh.

Walk Like a Giant.

Yeah.

That one.

Man.

(Maybe it's just the first song of the album I don't care for?)

I'm loving "Psychedelic Pill."

It and "Americana" are the perfect couple--similar enough to coexist harmoniously forever, but different enough within the context of their sameness to complement each other rather than cancel each other out. Probably Neil's best 1-2 punch since "Sleeps With Angels" and "Mirrorball"--hell, I'll throw in "Broken Arrow" and "Le Noise" in to make the comparison a hat trick.

Also, "Born in Ontario" is catchy as hell. Exactly what I want from one of Neil's minor songs.
