Never got into Lanagan like so many others, but looking forward to it as much as any other PJ side project.
Using the name Mad Season seems a little ridiculous. A)no Layne, not a big deal to me with this or AIC B)not like Mad Season is a name with alot of clout.
If anything having Lanegan in the band adds legitimacy to using the name Mad Season. He was on the first record. Knowing him he probably had the option for a larger role back then and turned it down. Any band would be lucky to have him.

it´s in the grunge is dead book...the band was Mike and Layne´s proyect. Mark was around but not involved mostly because he was really fucked up at the time. A year after he did some sessions with ST with Mike too, and began the worst years of Lanegan with his drug abuse.

come to think of it there were only 3 songs on the original mad season album I ever listened to. River of Deceit and the two songs Lanegan sings on.

You had to have heard the two they did on Self Pollution Radio.
I have the album and listened to it multiple times. I just meant those are the ones that stuck with me

Barret Martin announced that a Box set with the original record remastered, a DVD of the moore theatre show and some live recordings is going to be released on march 12th. Also 3 new songs with mark lanegan, and one of them written by the band and special guest peter buck. thats some amazing news.
