Should there be one? Are you attending an in-store performances, going out of your way to pick up some black wax, generally indifferent or ambivalent toward the day?

You really went after it Andy. Well done. There are two record stores I like in Chicago, but I'm stuck with parental responsibilities/house sitting in the suburbs today. Dashitall.
picked up the whiskeytown 7", the mmj record and cd (only to get home and see the cd comes with the record..lol), the wilco dvd, the derek trucks ep.
i got a bunch of random free stuff too, kings of leon, etc.
this is the most money, ok only money i've spent on music (about $80) in a long time. felt pretty good.
i just went back and bought all the radiohead singles, i feel like i'd kick myself later.
also got the modest mouse and dead weather eps. didn't see those earlier.
i'm fucking torn about the radiohead singles, they were definitely a label cash grab at $13 a pop, but i know once i saw them on ebay for $30 a pop i'd be pissed.

If you go the the Record Store Day website, they have a list of participating stores. I would check to see if some of them have online stores. I just checked Easy Street's website and they said they weren't selling the Record Store Day exclusives online, but that might change over time.
