has anybody listened to these guys. id heard good things but never got around to buying the cd until last week for a road trip and i loved it. i usually ignore most of the newer punk records that come out but this one definately rises above the crapheap. definately check it out if you havent heard it
hello mikef! i am a big fan as you can see.
i love the new album, it's not as good as revolutions per minute but it's still damn good!
i love everything about this band: lyrics, vocals, kick-ass music... and their involvement in the social/political causes that they believe in.
they are awesome live and are very nice dudes!

I started a thread on the album on the previous board, I remember some of the retorts something to do with "the only good punk is the Astro Zombies" and "they do nothing for me". Glad to see some of you have enjoyed them.
Dont agree with anything they have to say politically, I think thier ideas are cliched and tired (I have a similar opinion of Strike Anywhere and they are probably my favorite band). But...
Tim is an excellent lyricist/vocalist, the songs are great, and Revolutions Per Minute is probably my favorite album of the last 10 years. Everyone should see them live at least once.

you bought it? how do you like it? and yeah you can come back to bed!
i haven't had a chance to listen to it as i was dying to hear the remixed versions of some of songs off ten and i didn't have a studio version of solat. ah my warm bed i am offically out of the doghouse, i was getting slightly attached to rex there for a sec.

yeah that is our dog's name that you haven't taken for a walk for the past week.
i think o'brien has done a great job and there is far less reverb and it imporves the songs out of sight, although they were obviously already very good. solat is cool but i prefer the live version i've downloaded from this site. i'll give you a little review after i've listened to it a couple of times. as you know rise against isn't really my thing, i can only take so much yelling and screaming.

well get used to the yelling and screaming because you have to go to all my punk/hardcore shows from now on!
yeah i like the remixes. i've always been against the remixing of ten thinking it is what it is and shouldn't be messed with but now i'm not so sure. it might be cool to hear the whole album remixed.
