I read that the Stones grossed 162 million from their tour last year, and U2 grossed about 140 million. My question is, after expenses and all that, how much to the guys in the band actually walk away with after the tour?
I'd imagine after paying the crew, promoters taking their cut, and paying the tax man, it's probably not as huge an amount as one would think. Anyone have any idea on a ballpark figure?

I bet that the members of the Stones make more from one gig than I will make in my entire professional career.
It really depends on the band. Alot of small bands struggle (and fail) to break even on tours, while at the other end there are the bands who make most of their money from their tours.
