yes they are. i've been listening to takk, ( ), and we play endlessly a whole lot.
I've been listening to the Odin's Raven Magic lately. I also just watched a dvd where they traveled around Iceland and played in small buildings to local people. Great watch.
i didn't know what you were talking about so i went to wikipedia

Odin's Raven Magic is a 2002 orchestral setting to the Icelandic poem Hrafnagaldr Óðins. The composition was a collaboration by Sigur Rós, Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson, Steindór Andersen, Páll Guðmundsson and Maria Huld Markan Sigfúsdóttir. It was premiered at the Reykjavík Arts Festival on 24 May 2002.[1][2]
A release on DVD and CD was expected for January 2008[3], but up to date the work remains unpublished.

how did you listen to it? audience bootleg?
It sounds like it, but it's real high quality. I don't know the source. The music sounds real tight but then when the audience applauds it's awfully loud. I'll see what I can do about getting it to you.

I think I'm gonna download some of these guys tonight. I always wonder if people in Iceland are crazy-apeshit over these guys the way people are over here who can't even speak the language.
PS, I literally don't think I've heard any of their music.

Guys, I'm gonna say it. This band is better than everybody else. They are that good.

I may have written this already, but seeing sigur ros live a few years ago in a really tiny tent packed with people was one of the most amazing concert experiences I've ever had. I just looked up when that was and apparently it was in 2003... should I feel old now? Damn.

My best Sigur Ros gig was in July 2005 just before the Takk release.

I'm listening to all of the free downloads they have on their UK site. I don't understand a single lyric, but its really not necessary. This stuff is absolutely incredible.
