anyone catch this on the cbc last sunday?

i completly forgot!!! damn it, i heard they played a new songs and 'courage'

i cant wait until the 5th, i'm seeing the on the last nite of the tour in halifax, tonite set was pretty killer

I watched it and I wasnt impressed at all... then again I despise that band and I think they are extremely overrated. They're playing here in Hamilton on New Years eve... Its like the talk of the town right now or something.. but whatever.

new song was okay, and 'courage' definately had a lot of emotion. I enjoyed it, and agree that that is a soli setlist, if only they'll cut their prices in ahlf and remove Music@work.

i'm not a huge fan of 'em, but i certainly do like 'em a lot. Bobcaygeon would probably be my favourite Hip song.

I know quite a few people that dont like these guys at all. Gord Downie's voice sounds like a cat trapped inside of a plastic bag.

I have always liked The Hip, but not been a fanatic about them like many Canadians. I think they have some great albums earlier in their career, but the last 4 albums or so haven't done much for me.

While I won't toss my hat all of the way into the "hate" ring, the Hip are good for a song, or two, each album. But I could never sit through an entire album's worth of songs...
