I don't care what people say about her. I like Yoko Ono.
Agreed. If Lennon loved her, that's good enough for me. And besides, she had her own stuff going on prior to meeting him, so that strength is also respectable, regardless of critics.
BTW, Garden of Stone, she did not "split up the Beatles".
The Beatles (with Ringo) started playing in August 1962, but it's important to note that JOHN and PAUL had been playing together from about 1957 on.... at about age 17. It is not unreasonable to assume that after 13 years and upon hitting age 30 they would want to go their separate ways. They had "grown out of" one another from about 1966 on anyway. Linda McCartney was at many recording sessions as well, she just wasn't photographed as much as Yoko because Linda herself was also "taking" photographs. Anyway, yeah, I'm babbling, sorry.
The book "Yes" has all of Yoko's "stuff" in it; people should check it out if they haven't; while she seemed to be a bit annoying to listen to or watch, her ideas themselves were very creatively simplistic. She was (and still is) quite an intelligent (albeit perhaps still naive) and strong woman.
