Cool. I just questioned my brother about it, and of course he's getting it.
Umm, John Mayer?

John Mayer is actually a good guitarist. Buddy Guy must think so too, and of course Eric or he wouldn't of been invited.

I refuse to recognise any guitar playing ability in John Mayer. I'm sorry, I just can't do it. Even if it's true. It feels like praising Good Charlotte for their lyrics to me.

But there is no comparison. Praising Good Charlotte for their lyrics would be wrong because you wouldn't be praising anything.
Is it because young girls think John is hot? You know Eric had more than his fair share of girls following him around during his Cream days.

It's just that I really don't like his music or him. 'Your body is a wonderland' or whatever that song is called makes me want to vomit. It actually makes me wish I could projectile vomit so I'd have something to cover the TV screen and block him out. But, meh.

I used to not like his music as well because I thought "Your Body is a Wonderland"...what the hell? But his other music isn't that bad, and it seems live he's better. I'll admit I'm still not a huge fan of his or anything, but I don't mind listening to him here and there.
