Are these guys any good? My brother asked for it as a christmas gift, but I am not familiar with them..I think I may have heard one song and I thought it was Geddy Lee singing. Hahha.
Anyways...my brother usually has pretty good taste in music..so it got me wondering what other people thought of them.

They are pretty good, i have both albums , they are Emo, and the singer has a very high pitched voice. each album has like four or five good songs and than just filler

I got to hang out with them back in April when they did an in-store signing before a show at the record store my friend worked at. We got to pick them up from the venue and drive them to the store and back. They ended up giving us back-stage passes and we went with them to a strip club after the show. The title song on their newest album is mindblowingly good, but the rest is about average.

If I see those lyrics in one more goddamn AIM profile or away message, I'll kill a dog. YOUR dog.
Hahaha. I have a Coheed and Cambria away message:
This isn't love so forever let it go...
Anyhow, I picked up their latest album a few weeks ago and I must say that its really rather good. I wouldn't quite call it emo, but that's a whole seperate issue.
Good stuff, and its usually pretty cheap at Target.

The don't leave very good impressions on people who enjoy music a lot, but if u sit down and listen to there cd, some of it is unbeleivably good.
my vote for the next "big band" (be a good band, and still get played on mtv)

whats emo?
Emo (adjective): emotional rock. Lyrics are often about a broken heart, a bad relationship, or depression. See also: vagina rock.
Yeah, that's what it's been degraded to. Emo originated as hardcore music with emotional lyrics, instead of political ones. Rites of Spring is emocore. Now, emo consists of whiny suburbanite white kids bitching about relationships and suicidal tendencies. How it got to this point, I will never know. But I do know that Chris Carrabba and his "look how punk I am" tattoos is a far cry from Guy Picciotto and his badassness.

the singer does have a very emo-type voice which kind of annoys me but the progressive-rock leanings of the music entices me and supercedes the voice (much like rush as a matter of fact). i especially like the title track of the most recent album.
