You're probably sick of it because it's not Pete singing.

Yeah it is, but it's not Pete singing which makes it sound not so great.

I love Eddie's version from Roger Daltrey's BDay Celebration in 94

I wonder what car companies and department stores are gonna do when they run out of Who songs to put in their ads.

Is there any song that's been whored out more than this one? I've heard it in at least 10 different movies. Doesn't surprise me one bit that you're sick of it. However, I did hear a slow version of it in a movie, and it was Pete singing, and I liked it better than the regular version.

They'll call Pearl Jam.

Well at Roger's Birthday he was solo, just him and an electric guitar. The version you've probably heard is from Soldier Feild 95 with PJ

Was it without the shitty synth?

Jebus that was quick. No idea what movie but that sounds like a nice version. I prefer the way PJ do it personally.

The JCPenny commercial, or at least, there's a few versions have Pete DEFINITELY singing on one of them, some are the just the melody of the song. But it irks me to no end.

But to clairfy a few points. Ed covered Let My Love for the first time I believe at the Daltrey Sings Townshend bash in NYC on 2.23.94. It was just Ed solo

THe first PJ full band version was in Seattle 2.5.95 but the more rocking version was Chicago 7.11.95.

Anyway, Pete remixed the song for the Gross Pointe Blank soundtrack I think, but it's also on Pete's greatest Hits CD CoolTalkingStraightshooting... whatever it's called. THe song was also in the beginning of the Look Who's Talking sountrack as well as a dozen others.

I have no real problem with soundtrack contributions really, but it REALLY bugs the shit out of me he used it for JC Penney. I know, I know, his song, he does want he wants... I know I know record company made the money the first time, Pete needs cash.. I just think it's kinda sad and pathetic as a Who fan...

Grosse Point Blank is the correct answer. It's the E. Cola mix.

Never seen the movie, but I'm not a huge fan of this version. I like it fast. Now I'm going to have to go get my guitar and play it fast myself just to hear it *leaves board*
