Kings of Leon
Arcade Fire
The Libertines

would all be included, if we're going by debuts, and 2002 counts.

Yeah, 2002 counts.

I'm expecting to see a lot of Arcade Fire love, but NEON BIBLE was a disappointment for me.

Kings of Leon

OR

TV On The Radio

Close call because: KOL is the best rock and roll band, bar none. TOTR is the best live band, and probably the best lyrics too.

the last five years must be a really bad period in music if kings of leon is the best new band during that time period.

Screw that, Mr Calendar. They're still making mush out of the rest of 'em.

brmc debut was 01

ok, exclude it

the other 3 albums rape you all

in a fight, brmc would kill Kings of Leon in 10 seconds

i think its better to base it on the year of debut, rather than formed. some bands form when they're like 13 and don't release anything until they're 25.

Instinctively I'd say Kings of Leon, but there are probably bands I haven't heard that are just as good.

Tv On The Radio's RETURN TO COOKIE MOUNTAIN wouldn't make my top 10 of the decade so far....didn't do anything for me for the most part.
