I can't really get into this band. I have Different Class, and it has some catchy tunes, but overall it seems pretty average.

And We Love Life. Both albums are far better than Different Class, if you ask me. If not the whole album, at least listen to "Wickerman" from We Love Life. One of the better songs ever written.

Great band.

Sometime guitarist Richard Hawley's new record "Coles Corner" is really cool too.

eric, I'm going to PM you "Wickerman" shortly, because you really can't dismiss Pulp without hearing that song.

Alright, sounds good, I'll give it a listen. I did a limewire search for it, but had no luck.

I'm not dismissing them, there are a few tracks on DC that I like, but overall it seemed pretty mediocre.

Giving it a listen right now. I'm liking it better than most of Different Class. The storytelling is quite cool. I like it musically better as well, I'm not a big fan of the dance-pop on DC (except when it works, like on Common People, Disco 2000).

I've been listening to a lot of Pulp lately. This Is Hardcore is exceptional.

Also, Jarvis Cocker is recording his solo album right now. Graham Sutton is behind the buttons.

I can never decide whether This Is Hardcore or We Love Life is their best album.

We love life, then His n' hers. Then get some of their better b-sides.

Wait, do you have Different Class?

i still say We Love Life, but Differnt Class was their 'breakthrough' record. if your favorite song from 'Hardcore' is 'help the aged', then 'Different Class' might be the better next one for you.
