For some reason, I never got the Beatles Anothology CDs, and therefore, never heard the song Real Love. That is until recently, when I got the new John Lennon Acoustic album. It has the original demo version of this song, which prompted me to find the full-band Anthology version.
Basically what this leads to is this: Real Love is one of the greatest and most underrated of all Beatles tunes.
What Paul, George, and Ringo added to John's fragile demo is tastleful and well executed. They gave it the Beatles sound.
Same with Free as a Bird....but I've known about that song's greatness for a while now.
