He's next on my "to look into" list.
He's very good, I highly reccomend getting his first album, "my aim is true" or his best of.
I'm not too keen on "best of"s, but I'll check it My Aim Is True. I've been wanting to get This Year's Model too. I'm already a huge fan of "Let Him Dangle" and "My Funny Valentine".

He's done a ton of good work.
This year's model, Armed Forces, and Imperial Bedroom are all top notch, brilliant albums.
There is a good compilation album called Girls! Girls! Girls!

Great songwriter, great performer. Unfortunately some of his recordings sound very dated. Shipbuilding is one of my favorite songs but the recording has not aged well.

Funny this thread popped up today. I was going to seed a cool Elvis show on dime this weekend. 5/20/96 at the Paradise Theat. in Boston, from an FM bcast. If anyone's interested, I'll post the link once it's up. It's a cool show with great sound and lots of stage banter.
This is a dude I've been curious about for like 2 years. His catalogue is pretty overwhelming. I assume that starting with the early shit is the way to go?
