I was a big fan of Tears for Fears in the 80s.

I'd love to go see them but $35 is way too much.

*let's it all out*

Tears For Fears rule. The new album is probably top 5 2004.

I was never a fan of Tears for Fears but there is a song that use to really freaks me out:

Shout
Shout
Let it all out
These are things I can do without
Come On
I'm talking to you
Come on
In violent times
You shouldn't have to sell your soul
In black and white
They really really ought to know
Those one track minds
That took you for a working boy
Kiss them goodbye
You shouldn't have to jump for joy
Shout
They gave you life
And in return you gave them them hell
As cold as ice
I hope we live to tell the tale
Shout
And when you've taken down your guard
If I could change your mind
I'd really love to break your heart
Shout

I understand that these guys had serious problems with childhood abuse and that this song was a reflection of it.

(correct me if I am wrong it's been so long since I heard this song or that band!)

Yes.. it's about Primal Scream Therapy. The band's name is a reference to it as well.

Well I was referring to Tears for Fears.

The duo's name is derived from the primal therapy treatment formed by Arthur Janov. During primal therapy, the patient is encouraged to cry, scream, and beat objects to express childhood, perinatal and prenatal feelings; hence the name "Tears for Fears," and the content of the song "Shout."

I've never heard of that before. I always loved their band name, as well as Primal Scream's.

If you think Shout is a freaky abuse song, listen to Laid So Low (Tears Roll Down).

I think they were underrated. I enjoy their stuff when I want to mellow out.

I like what little Tears for Fears music I've heard. If I pick up one of their albums, should I get the new one first or another one?
