I've heard great things about Kanye West. I'll have to check this album out sometime, not that Blender is always a reliable source... I do like some of this list though. Ghostface's album at number 13 put a smile on my face, and I'm really happy The Roots' "The Tipping Point" made the list. It's good to see the latest Nancy Sinatra album on there too; I haven't heard all of it yet because I haven't bought the album, but it sounds great so far!

Even though there were still the undeserved mentions, like Usher, Ashlee Simpson, and Courtney Love, they included some good ones, like the ones you highlighted and the ones I mentioned. Thanks for posting the list! :D

one good thing about this list is that eagles of death metal are not only on it but have a very good ranking

Me too! I still listen to that all the time, and it never tires of me. I don't think there was a single Ghostface output that I didn't at least like. "Ironman" was exceptional, as was "Supreme Clientele," and his work with the Wu-Tang Clan has always been wonderful. :D

I've always wondered where the long movie quote at the beginning of Ironman is from. the one where the kid is like, "I've got a message for smokey"

I found the review below the ranking,um.. interesting(me not knowing anything about the band)

17.Eagles Of Death Metal-Peace Love Death Metal
Pro-Porn,Pro Crystal meth boogie

Jesse hughes says he "went from being a single father and video store clerk to a cock-swinging rock & roller" with the help of old pal Josh Homme,Queesn of the Stone Age main man.As Homme plays simple, lean drumbeats,Huges-a newborn metal star with trucker mustache and tattoos-slams distorted guitar riffs and howls catchy dalsetto songs of corruption and cruelty.

some lyrics site I found said it came from "Fresh", but I've seen that movie like 2-3 times, and I can guarentee it's not from that movie.

Truly a terrible list (Jimmy Eat World above Elliot Smith???), I like what they had to say about Wilco though.

Can someone tell me how bad the Scissor Sisters are?

What do they sound like? Are they really the biggest hype band of the year that actually sucks?

That's going to nag at us until we figure it out. :x I've never seen "Fresh," but I'll take your word for it. Obviously, you would have recognized the scene. Doesn't he have a responsibility to copyright that in his album booklet? Perhaps not, but I wish he did.

As can be expected from a Blender list. I was surprised that they actually included Ghost and Nancy Sinatra and The Roots though, among a few others highlighted. I always sit and wait for the next obscenely terrible list from Blender or Rolling Stone and hardly find something good to say about any of them. At least they put Ghost at 13. But otherwise, you're right, it's terrible.

Most overrated album of the year, in my opinion. The concept was great, the finished product left a lot to be desired. Dangermouse even admitted that half of the tracks were rushed because he only wanted to do an EP at first and not the Black Album remixed.

kanye west's cd was awesome... a lot of filler in there, so not counting all of those tracks, pretty much every song is great.
