I listened to their record like twice I think. Pretty solid stuff. Certainly aren't breaking any new grounds, but it was still very enjoyable. I need to go back to it.
I kinda see the Vivian Girls thing, if only for that it's kind of a similar aesthetic: short record, girls w/ guitars, etc. But in terms of actually how it sounds, you're right, it's got more in common with Belle and Sebastian than a lot of things.

Based on the clips I just listened to on iTunes, these folks sound pretty good. Does anyone know of some other new artists that are similar to this?
And yeah, the name is pretty awful. I used to automatically avoid checking out bands with bad or pretentious names, but I've learned to get out of that habit. I thought that I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness would be some horrible emo bullshit, but they're really great.

Echoes, where did you find the album for $6?
At my local record store. It was in the used section and I guess they had priced it before it was best new music'd.
Its okay so far!
