Butterfly is about a one night stand, imo. He found the butterfly yesterday, and today things have changed. "If I'm a dog, then you're a bitch".

Pinkerton is prolly my favorite of the bunch, but they've always been consistant, imo. At least more consistant than people give them credit for.

That's possible, it certainly fits well with that line. But I think the song is too heartfelt and emotional to be about something as trivial and disposable as a one night stand.

There's something else I didn't know. I can appreciate a good nip in the butt myself.

what's funny is critics ripped the hell outta this when it came out, saying it was shit, and now they say it's their best work.

i think the fans always liked it though (i did anyway, went in non-stop along w/no code when i first got it, has always been on high rotation since, can't say the same for no code...)

Maladroit is one of the worst albums ever. Ugh. So bad.

I don't really think so. At least Green's songs are catchy. Maladroit has songs like "American Gigolo," "Dope Nose," "Space Rock" and "December." Blah. Plus the production is terrible. I wouldn't call Green a masterpiece, a class, or even really good, but I think it's a fun little pop album.

agreed. both green and maladroit have some serious high points on them...though i cant think of a single song off of make believe thats even halfway decent.

This is hands down one of the best albums of the 90's. Straight up.

Love this album. Tired of Sex is a great opener and Butterfly is probably my favorite Weezer song.

Ah, Pinkerton. Such an awesome album. It came out shortly after I entered my freshman year of college and my first "real" concert was seeing Weezer on the Pinkerton tour at the legendary First Avenue club in Minneapolis. I've seen hundreds of shows since, but that one will always be near the top of the list for me.
