Wonderful songs. Beautiful vocal harmonies. Phenomenal guitar playing. The world's best production. Any of you lucky yanks going to the April/May US tour this year? If so, please, please, please tape it or review it. I am jealous.

They were here a couple weeks ago. Not really interested in them live unless it's the full band. Christine's vocals are required for many songs.
But yeah. Special band to me, thanks to my mother, who played the hell of their records when I was little. Their VH1 Behind The Music segment was really good too.

I took my girlfriend on March 13th to see them. The tickets were bloody expensive, so we got a pair in the nosebleeds for 40 bucks each over at the Nassau Coleseum, ya know the area that told PJ to fuck themselves in 03. We went from section 307 to 113 cause they upgraded us do to poor sales. The show was pretty good. Lindsey Buckingham can play a mean guitar.

How long was the show? Was it one of those "greatest hits" setlists?

Windedsailor, Go listen to Rumours. Probably the most well-produced album you'll ever hear. It's a shame Christin Mc Vie retired, for sure. Not really jealous anymore: this tour sounds a bit too cynical for my liking (ie. cash register cynical.) I'd still go if they played indoors in Dublin, though.

if your idea of fine production is sounding like a coffee commercial song, then i can agree with you. my parents listened to this album all the time so i know it well. its not particularly well produced, sounds dated. it has long held a stigma in my brain as something not to do to music. it clearly doesn't hold a candle to the obvious ones like sgt peppers, pet sounds, dark side of the moon, ect . but doesn't hold a candle to an awful lot of albums in terms of production.

Agree to disagree and leave it at that.

I saw them in Vegas in '97 (I can only imagine what Stevie looks like now). Anyhow, during Landslide (which is a really quiet song of course), Stevie sang "I'm getting older too". Some dude with an absolute booming voice shouts "YES--------YOU--------ARE". Classic.
Fleetwood Mac:
Don't want to see them without CM (You Make Loving Fun--classic). Lindsey the Master of the "tasty guitar fill". Stevie Nicks circa 1977: The hottest rock chick of all time? Possibly.

Took my fiancee to see them in Boston a couple of weeks ago (she's a huge fan, me not so much). Good show, surprised how much I knew. Stevie Nicks was pretty much mailing it in though, outside of one or two moments.
As for the production on their albums, especially Rumours, it's very thin sounding. Seeing them live gave me a much better appreciation for them, because Buckingham can sing and play his ass off. They sounded a lot more "full" live. I mean, you can barely hear Buckingham's guitar on Rumours half the time.
