I haven't cared about these guys since like, Chaosphere. I have heard some good rumblings about this though. Bear in mind that I REALLY disliked Catch 33, so I hope they are not going down that lane

I enjoy some Meshuggah, but I cannot get over the repetition, which imo still remains. It gets so monotonous and derivative. I don't think they've changed much since their beginnings.

Never been able to get into them, but then again, I only really listened to Catch 33. I did kinda like I though.

Maybe I'll check out their new one.

Obzen would have been a natural progression after chaosphere. It's not breaking any new ground but it has some riffs and the production is solid. For groove-metal, it does the trick. I wish they would get more extreme a la "War" from Rare Tracks but I doubt that will happen. For the $12 I spent on it, I'm satisfied but they could have done much better. At least this one feels like it has some songs on it.

I just picked this up, and I'm liking it so far. Pretty brutal.

I like the new Meshuggah. I think it is real good. It is heavy as hell, and the drumming is nuts, but you can say that about most any Meshuggah album you want, really. I like how it is heavy yet propulsive, and while it may not have the far atempting progressive tendencies that C33 had, I think it is infinitely more interesting. Some songs couold be a little shorter, but all in all, I like

I heard a lot about this album so before i came to work this morning i was looking on itunes and I saw they had it for only 5.99

So for that price i thought wtf might as well try it.

I have a short commute so only got through the first two songs and part of the third on the way in. It seems pretty cool, but this is the first album of theres i've checked out.
