Ok, anybody else heard this album yet? I just picked it up on sale and was blown away! An amazing album! It has a really big sound, aka Queens of the Stone age, A Perfect Cricle, etc.
Highly recommended, give it a try.

I saw her live last week in Vancouver, and quite frankly, she was rather diappointing. I enjoyed two or three songs, but I thought she pulled of a rather weak show. I fail to see what the fuss is about, and the album just doesn't do it for me.

I've been a fan of Melissa's since she was a member of Hole and the Smashing Pumpkins. I was tempted to go see her at a recent show in Calgary but I couldn't bare to bring myself to support Matthew Good, the main act.
I really enjoyed listening to the French and English versions of "Taste You" on the same record. Of course, having Josh Homme doing background vocals on a few songs was another treat for me since I'm a Queens of the Stone Age fan. I would highly recommend the album since it grows on you. Plus, it's being sold for relatively cheap ($9.99) in Canadian stores like Futureshop right now. (Of course, this deal had to start soon after I bought my own copy. )
You may be interested to know that Melissa recently reacted to fan comments that the lyrics were too "simplistic" by claiming that she will be putting much more thought into her lyric writing for the next album. Apparently, they are extremely basic because she pulled them directly from her journal.
Did anyone else in Canada catch Melissa promoting David Suzuki on the CBC's "Greatest Canadian of All Time" Series?
