I've got The Quine Tapes, and they sound like garbage. Fortunately the performances are so great it's enough to get by that. I'd reccomend them to a serious VU fan.
Don't know what you're complaining about. Best version of "What Goes On". Fucking rocks. Also, best verison of "Pale Blue Eyes". The sound quality just makes it sound very raw and i like it.

Mwobs, are you listening with headphones? I'm just wondering because while there most certainly is a hiss to those recordings, I don't find it nearly as irritating as you do. It kind of adds to the feel of the show, at least for me.
The version of Sweet Jane found on this set is amazing.
