I did a search and couldnt beleive that they havent got a thread for themselves.

I have only recently gotten into them and im kicking myself for not getting into them earlier.

I have only listened to black sabbath and paranoid.... what should i listen to next?

Master of Reality.

I listened to Paranoid this week after a long, long time. It's still a fucking great piece :P

Definitely go for Master of Reality next, then Vol. 4. The first four Black Sabbath albums are essential.

All of the sabbath-ozzy albums are worth checking out.

The two best Sabbath songs, in my opinion, are 2 that they did with Dio:
"Heaven & Hell"
"The Mob Rules"

Check those 2 out when you can.

Vol. 4 is weak compared with the albums that came directly before and after it. Technical Ecstasy is ridiculously overlooked, as well.

if you want a flavor of all their good albums, get We Sold Our Souls For Rock and Roll. But I'd start with Paranoid and then S/T, MOR, and Vol. 4

I'm sorry, but I adore Mob Rules and some of the other Dio stuff. It's a different beast, but I dig it...especially when it goes overthetop cheesey (compared to overthetop special ed with Oz in the driver's seat) or accidentally ends up sounding like a Zeppelin song.

I agree that Paranoid is really, really good. Their debut is good, too. Outside of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and those two, I think their other early stuff tends to be overrated. Vol. 4 and Master of Reality seemed pretty weak in comparison.

I agree that technical ectasy is totally overlooked. Nobody Can Change Me and She's gone are terrific, heartfelt songs.

Please see Children of the Grave and Sweet Leaf from Master. That's great stuff. I wish I could find Henry Rollins' rant on the first four Black Sabbath albums from Think Tank real quick.

Yes, you're right. Those are the only two songs I remember from either album.
