I happened across AIC's Music Bank at a local used cd shop for about $40 CAN (pretty damn good around here) and i think the packaging kicks ass. What other boxed sets packaging is kick ass?

(the misfits coffin box set is sweet too)

I thought the new Nirvana set was really well done.

its not the best but its not bad either. also its not a true box set, just a dvd and an 8 track cd (even though its listed as a box set)

It's worth a lot of money now too. Glad I bought three copies when it was released!

It's worth about $100, give or take.

Neither will I. That's why I bought three.

My opened copy is still mint, I sold one of the sealed copies last year, and have one sealed copy left.

Smashing Pumpkins - The Aeroplane Flies High. Very sharp looking

An old one that I have always loved is the Allman Brothers Dreams Box Set.

The box itself has a worn leather look that is very cool, and has that great classic graphic of the band name, which almost looks like a foreign language when you first look at it.

The discs have a very different design in a really nice olive green color with a mushroom motif.

Nothing all that fancy, just beautiful and trippy. The book is really nice too, and looks more like the cd's than the box.

the packaging on this isnt special, but the included booklet is great. the whole package is about the size of an LP. ive been wanting to buy this for years but can never bring myself to pay 80 bucks

This is the only picture I could find, but the Doors Complete Studio Recordings has all the cds inside packaged like miniature versions of how the vinyl records were.
