Are they any good? I just watched Garden State last night and I really liked the song of theirs that they played, and I was thinking of picking up their album. Any suggestions?

I just listened to them tonight. "Chutes Too Narrow" is a great album, but so is "Oh, Inverted World" which contains the two songs from the Garden State soundtrack.

The Shins owe Zach Braff their entire future career.

Chutes Too Narrow is pretty good but I prefer to mood of Oh, Inverted World.

Both are great buys no matter which way you slice it.

Both albums are great. Both albums did the same thing to me. Neither hit me right away. I was that the point were i was about to give up and say i don't know why everyone likes these bands then all of sudden a song sunk in and it hit like a ton of bricks! The first taht really did it for me was Pink Bullets.

Now i love the albums. If you get them don't give up on them easily. They will grow on you and you will love them. I proimise.
