love this album.. kills it.. im not sure if i like this or sticky fingers better, but both are so good..

only bad thing about playing it now is it reminds me of the summer

torn n frayed is a top 3 overall stones tune for me.. and rocks off, tumblin dice, lovin cup, sweet black angel, sweet virginia, and ventilator blues all are up there too

me too.

I always thought venilator blues was a song that PJ could and/or should pull off.

I bought my Exile album at the Schuylkill Mall, by the way.

I've never listened to this before. Two spins through. Better the second time around. "'Sweet Black Angel" is probably my fav.

the side with that song on it is my all-time favorite album side. (Torned & Frayed, Sweet Virginia, Loving Cup) It never grows old.

My other favorite album sides are the other three of Exile.

If Shine a Light and Let It Loose were contained by one side it'd be game over.

The sequence of "Tumbling Dice," "Sweet Virginia," "Torn and Frayed," "Sweet Black Angel," and "Loving Cup" is my favorite stretch of the record too, and probably my favorite Rolling Stones music period.

This is a killer album. Of their big 4 though, I'm not sure where I'd rank it. The big 4 being Beggars Banquent, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile on Main St.

A few years ago, Sticky Fingers was my clear winner. Over time though, Exile has gone up, and I think Beggars is now my favorite Stones album. Having said that though, all 4 of these albums are fantastic, and have pretty much the best music the Stones ever recorded.

ironically, or probably not actually, didn't Mick Taylor play on all four of those?

...and Get Yer Ya-Yas Out would be amongst those

Mick Taylor sure make them a better band. But i do like Ronnie´s first albums from the 70´s and specially Voodoo Lounge too.
