Hey 'bain, if you haven't checked out EP +2 or EP +6 yet you really need to. This has some of Mogwai's best songs from the CODY era. Stereodee and Small Children in the Background are in my top 10 Mogwai songs, and the rest are excellent as well.

Happy Songs for Happy People OR Rock Action if you want something lush and different. After Young Team that is. Then you can check out Ten Rapid and CODY.
Listening to Stop Coming to My House from Government Commissions as I type this. Friend of the Night has been playing a lot lately as well. Wonderful piece of music it is.
Question: Anyone listend to a band called Fields before? I've been listening to samples on itunes but it's hard for me to decide if I like them from just 30 second samples.

No, never heard Fields. Are they similar to Mogwai or something?
By the way, Stop Coming To My House is one of my absolute favorite Mogwai songs. Right up there at #2 or #3.
No they are not really like Mogwai, I just happened to be thinking about that at the moment I was posting. I happened upon them actually when I was on itunes buying Hammock. I wanted to get someone elses point of view if someone had listened to them before. I'll have to agree with you on Stop Coming To My House. It's right up at the top for me as well. I simply love that song.

I didn't get into this band until recently. And it's a crying shame. For the most part, it is fantastic music. There is weak material, but there is more than enough amazing material to make up for it.
Cody is just an absolute perfect piece of art.
I have found myself enjoying the live stuff more than the studio stuff. Thankfully there is no shortage of boots out there.
