I find that I cannot focus on your post due to your distracting avatar. I want.

BUMP FOR MOGWAI

Dudes, I haven't listened to Mogwai in a fucking long time because my CDs are packed away and with all my harddrive issues I lost all the stuff on my computer! So I downloaded their discography yesterday and.......................

I fucking love this band!

Seriously, if you haven't listened to their EPs yet, you are missing out. Small Children in the Background, Stanley Kubrick, Stereodee. These tracks are essential!!!!!!!!

I said Small Children in the Background and Stop Coming To My House are my two favorites in that other thread, and I listened to them today to make sure - and yeah, no doubt about it these songs ruin shit.

Also I think I am going to listen to them a ton over the next month, since I'm gonna see them twice in September. (HOPEFULLY twice)

Pretty much agree with this.

What's your favorite song lately? I have almost tried to get tired of Death Rays and I just can't. It gets me every time.

Lately I really love "Get to France" and "Does This Always Happen?" from the Earth Division EP.

My favorite Mogwai tune of all time is "Untitled" from the "Travels in Constants" EP. I also really like "The Sun Smells Too Loud."

My favorite album is Come on Die Young, I never get tired of listening to it from start to finish. I very often leave it on repeat all night long while I sleep. I love drifting in and out of sleep while it plays. If I had to choose a track out of it, I'd choose either Kappa, Chocky or Cody.

I know I misjudged it when it first came out, I didn't like it all that much. After listening to it more, I think it's about par for them, but it's still great compared to pretty much anything else.

Saw them live in May and it was awesome. Super unassuming, barely talked at all other than bassist going "thank you, cheeahs" after each song.
