Where should i go after the last record?

I think they only have 3 proper studio albums.
This is what I think: Waking Season > The Four Trees > Tertia.
Just now listening to their live album.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about Caspian. I would suggest "Happy Songs For Happy People" and "Young Team." But "The Hawk is Howling" wouldn't be bad either.

Caspians first album is You Are The Conductor. some would say that's the best (my second favorite) though its somewhere between a full length and an EP.

As for Mogwai my favorites are Come On Die Young and Happy Songs for Happy People.

Got more Caspian last night. They're great! Already worked their way up to No. 5 on my "post rock" list. Just above Mono, but below Sigur Ros.

i smell a ranking thread.

1. Mogwai
2. Explosions in the Sky
3. GYBE
4. Sigur Rós (they should probably be higher)
5. Caspian (may drop out after newness wears off)
----------------------
Just out of the top 5: Mono, This Will Destroy You

agreed. A lot of people would go with Russian Circles in there, but I have trouble with them. they sound noisy and aimless to me. Empros is good though.

I vote we turn this into a "post rock" board and just have a PJ thread in Other Bands.

Combining your love of Mogwai and glow-in-the-dark hula hooping.

Wow, "Empros" is really good. Enjoying the band Pelican as well. Must admit that I always gave Russian Circles a skip. The "metal" tag always scared me off a bit. I feel pretty stupid now. This is fantastic.

Listened to "Mr. Beast" while driving home. "Travel Is Dangerous" came on right as the sun was setting. Killer.

A full stream of A Wrenched Virile Lore is up on YouTube. And for the record, I'm digging Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will a lot more now than I did initially.
