Suprnova.org has just closed its doors, which has left me feeling rather lost. Where else am I going to find such a wide variety of music? Any links any of you could provide would be great, and since it's not a direct link to any specific music it should be within the rules. Thanks

It sounds like other similar torrent sites are getting shut down, as well.

I'm a bit surprised it lasted this long, though. It's easy enough to shut down a torrent site, and the admins have the ability to block unauthorized material, unlike some other programs.

That's probably a good idea. Once they open one torrent and trace those connected to it, everyone's fucked because everyone is uploading.

..and I actually was buying more cds than last year. Why the irony, I start buying more cds and SuprNova is done. I think it all started a few weeks ago when people starting talking more about bit torrent. It was just a number one on Yahoo's Buzz Log. Yahoo probably destroyed it. Damnit

As you have probably noticed, we have often had downtimes. This was because it was so hard to keep this site up!
But now we are sorry to inform you all, that SuprNova is closing down for good in the way that we all know it.
We do not know if SuprNova is going to return, but it is certainly not going to be hosting any more torrent links.
We are very sorry for this, but there was no other way, we have tried everything.

Thank you all that helped us, by donating mirrors or something else, by uploading and seeding files, by helping people out on IRC and on forum, by spreading the word about SuprNova.org.
It is a sad day for all of us!

Please visit SuprNova.org every once in a while to get the latest news on what is happening and if there is anything new to report on.
