Shit, I will fully admit to being a huge GnR apologist. I can willingly defend quite a bit of Chinese Democracy. But this is just sad. So fucking sad. I couldn't even watch all the clips. "Welcome to the Jungle" may have been the very definition of abomination, and I hate that I have to write that sentence.
Chinese Democracy is a great album. Truly rock and roll record in the tradition of GNR.

what?!?!?!
There is nothing rock n roll about Chinese Democracy. I attempted to listen to it again last night. it has none of the elements of true GnR. Any moments that could potential be traced to what GnR was are easily traceable to "already fucking done this" realizations. It is so bad.

What are your thoughts on Sigur Ros, track curator?

i wasn´t talking about the music, but the tradition of old rock and roll records made for disturbing your parents, that kind of shit that your mom would go and say "please turn that shit down"...even the lyrics are fucked up and i love them..musically it does have some classic Axl-Gnr moments, but also goes further...i love the title track, shackler´s revenge, Better is a great song, Madagascar, there was a time, irs and street of dreams...
Saying that GnR were always "embarrassingly bad" means not recognizing the talent of the musicians that this band once consisted of because their singer is an ass, which is pretty stupid.

Alternatively, one could simply dislike the music enough to find it embarrassing and bad.

Guys, Raziel is right.
Appetite is a killer album, if you don't hear that, you're fucking crazy!

Not the same thing.
