A new Sam Roberts album is due at the end of May, which means that I'll be having a suitable soundtrack for backyard keggers and horseshoe tournaments.
The first single is "Them Kids", available for my listening pleasure at Sammy's Facebook and Myspace pages.

i was pretty disapointed with his second album, outside 2 or 3 songs. but i;m enjoying this new single. almost strokeslike.
Yeah, I'm loving it too. They debuted some new stuff at the Winter Classic in Buffalo, which I remember sounding awesome as well ... I'm pretty stoked. I wouldn't say I was disappointed with Chemical City - there was some real quality shit on that record. But you're right, it was no We Were Born In A Flame.

Anyone heard the new album yet? It was released on Tuesday.
Sounds pretty good after the first listen. Parts of it sound like the same old thing, and parts of it sound like something completely different for Sam...often within the same song. Some cool jams on this record too.

Finally picked this up today.
Straight-ahead rock without being cliche or predictable. Nobody knows how to throw a gentle-yet-bouncy jam in the middle of a song like Slammin' Sammy Roberts. This album satisfies like a steak dinner.
