pennies(pantis haha) is on there far's i know but that could change any time. I'm loving the record but the EP is even better just in that it's more in tune with what i expect? or perhaps it's more accessible? 'cos the record is a mother of a curveball...it's a beauty, really is.
Vinylguy...so i heard. the boots are great but that's hardly the same. Ah well...i seen him before

New Yorkers...free Glen show next week...mail your name to Howard, address below.
Glen will be doing a taping for XM Radio's "The Loft" show next Tuesday, May 8th. It will take place in New York City at The Living Room on 154 Ludlow and tape from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. If live in the area and would like to attend we have a limited amount of space. We will reserve space for the first 30 people + a guest by emailing: howard@overcoatmgmt.com. Please put in the subject header GLEN LIVING ROOM. Doors will be at 5 PM and due to the fact they have another show later it will be running close to if not exactly on time. Please be on time. Thanks.

I love this album! Laidback, bottle of red kind of album. I mean this as an absolute compliment: A lot of times Glens voice reminds me of Cat Stevens. The summer is going to be so much fun seeing Glen twice in London and thrice in Amsterdam. Also can't wait for that ep you mention Dime, there's only one song I'm still longing for.
Thanks but no it's not Lucia. Pennies is the one I'm waiting for. Got some live versions too, but I'd love to hear that song with the depth that studio brings.
Also wouldn't have mind at all if Bird of Sorrow was 10 minutes long....

Pennies sounds just as you'd imagine. Very lush but understated and again, the playing on it is superb. I love the frames but this isn't a record they could have made. They'll be with him on tour so I guess they're learning the songs but these guys on the record are fantastic. Drummer from the National is on it and he's outstanding.
Glen's on Jimmy Fallon and Jay Leno tonight also, if you're in the US.
Gotta find one of those online sites that let's you watch tv streaming, if anyone knows any that'd be great.

Ooh.. nice. Can't wait to hear it. Wow..really Frames are gonna tour with him? Also during EV's shows or just the shows in between? He has a nice small gig at a small church in Amsterdam the day before the gigs with Ed.

Also this is gonna be amazin..a Frames film..at last great man for the job too is Conor.
http://www.conormasterson.com/blog/view ... the-frames I spent some time in 2011 filming with the Irish band The Frames. I have made a film about the band and we plan to release it later in 2012. Its a film about a group of creatives and how they have spent 20 years together.
For my final session of filming I joined the band in Ireland as they played at The Mic Christopher tribute night in Vicar Street and the Other Voices television show in Dingle. This performance is not actually in the final cut but what the hell...that is a good reason to get it out there.
It is actually made up of three parts and I put it together in advance of Simons wedding last year. It starts at the Other Voices soundcheck, continues with a snippet from the live show and finishes with Simon wigging out at Vicar Street at the tribute to Mic with Paddy Casey and Glen Hansard on the lead vocals.
Enjoy.
(There is Strobe lighting at the end)
